TGE Explores New Opportunities to Turn Waste into Value, Creates New Business Opportunities and Expands Opportunities to Generate Returns through a Special Lecture “Turning Ash from Power Plants into Value”
On 18 September 2026, Thachang Green Energy Public Company Limited (TGE) organized a special lecture on the topic “Turning Ash from Power Plants into Value” via an online platform. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Somnuk Tangtermsirikul, a renowned professor and expert in civil engineering and concrete technology in Thailand from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University.
The session was welcomed by Mr. Seubtrakul Binthep, Chief Executive Officer, and attended by employees from the power plants, the Surat Thani Office, and the Bangkok Office. Participants came from various departments, including Engineering, O&M, Business Development, Human Resources, and Finance, among others.
The objectives of this special lecture were as follows:
- To provide general knowledge on how ash and waste generated from biomass power plants can be utilized and converted into value.
- To explore opportunities to generate revenue and enhance cost-effectiveness.
- To identify approaches for initiating practical “Quick Win” opportunities.
- To explore opportunities for further collaboration with the university.
